If I remember right, I got this as a birthday or Christmas present when I was around my pre-teen years and I said “Nah, this does not look good”. Until I decided to watch it and surprise I enjoyed it XD

“The Rescuers” was released on this day June 22nd 1977, making the film 40 years old as of today.The film focuses on a duo of mouse R.A.S (Rescue Aid Society) agents, the cautious Bernard (voiced by Bob Newhart) and the glamorous Bianca (voiced charmingly by Eva Gabor) who are tasked to rescue an orphan girl named Penny from the clutches of the greedy Madame Medusa (voiced funnily by Oscar winner Geraldine Page) who wants to use her to find a large underground diamond known as the Devil’s Eye.
Fun fact: the song “Someone’s Waiting for You” was nominated for Best Original Song at the 50th Academy Awards.
If you like animation from the 70s as well as the voice actors and are looking for Disney humor then this is for you or for anyone you know who likes the aforementioned aspects.
Recommended for Disney fans. I am not sure about the adults but kids may find it entertaining.
