19 July 2017; “Stuart Little 2” (2002) Throwback

Get ready for today’s…Blast from the Past!

Before I begin, I know that one of my neighbors is going to love this…

From Rob Minkoff, the director of “The Lion King” (1994) and “Stuart Little” (1999), comes this delightful film…

Stuart Little: “Everyone says that I’m too small to accomplish anything”.
Margalo: “Hey, the way I see it, you’re as big as you feel”.

“Stuart Little 2” was released on this day July 19th 2002, making the film 15 years old as of today.

Based on the 1945 children’s book by E. B. White. of the same name, the sequel follows the eponymous character (voiced by Golden Globe winner Michael J. Fox), who meets and befriends Margalo (voiced by Oscar nominee Melanie Griffith, who you may know from “Working Girl” (1988) ), a bird who is under the service of the villainous Falcon (voiced by Oscar nominee James Woods). When Margalo goes missing, Stuart and the house cat Snowbell (voiced by Golden Globe nominee Nathan Lane) set out to find her.

One of the film’s highlights is the CGI, soundtrack (especially Celine Dion’s “I’m Alive”), the voice and live action cast that includes Oscar winner Geena Davis, Golden Globe winner Hugh Laurie and more.

If you are looking for something sweet and that the whole family can enjoy as well as the actors, then this is for you, or for anyone you know, who likes the aforementioned aspects.
