“Ratatouille” was released on this day June 29th 2007, making the film 10 years old as of today.
The film follows a rat named Remy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) and his ambitious dreams to become a chef in his idol’s Auguste Gusteau’s restaurant, with the help of a garbage boy he befriends named Alfredo Linguini (voiced by Lou Romano).
Fun fact: the film won a total of 1 out of 5 Oscar nominations, winning for Best Animated Film and nominated for Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Sound Mixing and Best Sound Editing.
If you like food in film, great ensemble voice casts that includes acting legend Peter O’Toole and Ian Holm, sights of France, stunning computer animation, then this is for you, or for anyone you know, who likes the aforementioned aspects.
Highly recommended for Disney/Pixar fans as well as the comedy genre.
Personally, this is a great choice for families.
