Get ready for today’s…Blast from the Past!
The 21st century has given audiences okay, good, and sometimes great romantic comedy-dramas, much like this one…
Tucker: “Do you wanna be right or wanna be happy? Sometimes the end is just the beginning!”
“Celeste and Jesse Forever” was released on this day August 3rd 2012, making the film 5 years old as of today.
The film follows a couple (played by Primetime Emmy nominee Rashida Jones and Golden Globe winner Andy Samberg) going through a divorce, but want to maintain their friendship while they are seeing other people.
Fun fact; Pixar executive and Toy Story director John Lasseter hired writer Will McCormack and Rashida Jones to write “Toy Story 4” after watching the film.
It is suggested to not show this to younger audiences, in due to its sexual content, profanity and drug use.
If you like unconventional romantic comedies and you can handle some silly/childish moments, as well as the cast that also includes Elijah Wood, who you may know from the “The Lord of the Rings” (2001 – 2003) franchise, and Emma Roberts, then this is for you, or for anyone you know, who likes the aforementioned aspects.
