From director Peter Ramsey, comes this animated fantasy action-adventure flick…

Jack Frost: “Yeah I love being shoved into a sack and TOSSED through a magic portal.”
North: “Oh good, that was my idea.”

“Rise of the Guardians” released on this day November 21st 2012, making the film 5 years old as of today.

Based on William Joyce’s novel The Guardians of  Childhood, the film centers on the group of titular characters, which consists of Jack Frost (voiced by Primetime Emmy nominee Chris Pine), North aka Santa Claus (voiced by Oscar nominee Alec Baldwin), Bunnymund aka Easter Bunny (voiced by Oscar nominee Hugh Jackman), Tooth aka Tooth Fairy (voiced by Isla Fisher) and the Sandman, as they battle against Pitch Black (voiced by Oscar nominee Jude Law) who wants to turn the world into his own playground of darkness.

Fun fact; the film earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Animated Film.

Some of the film’s highlights include the Avengers-esque story, colorful and stunning animation, and entertaining voice acting by the mentioned actors.
