2 May 2018; “Iron Man” (2008) Throwback

Get ready for today’s 2nd and last…Blast from the Past!

From Primetime Emmy nominee Jon Favreau, the director of “Iron Man 2” (2010), “Chef” (2014), “The Jungle Book” (2016), and others, comes the one film that initiated the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe)…

Tony Stark/Iron Man: “Pepper I’ve been called many things, nostalgic is not one of them”.

“Iron Man” released on this day May 2nd 2008, making the film 10 years old as of today.

Fun fact; although the film premiered at Sydney, Australia on the 14th of April that same year, it released in the USA on the listed May date.

Also, the film earned 2 Oscar nominations for Best Sound Editing, and Visual Effects.

The film follows genius-industrialist and playboy Tony Stark (Oscar nominee Robert Downey Jr.) who builds an armor suit to fight crime.

Some of the film’s highlights include the cast, performances, especially Downey Jr., Oscar winners Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow and others, action sequences, sound and visual effects.

If you’re looking for an action-packed superhero film from the 2000s, or even if you are not a fan of the comics, or simply trying to find something for the young boys who love superheros, then this is for you, or for anyone you know, who likes the aforementioned aspects.

Recommended to fans of the action and superhero genre.
