Less than 5-word critique; nostalgic, empowering, action-packed, and entertaining.
Honestly, it was a lot of fun experiencing the whole story from Meg’s perspective, and even getting more of her backstory which has led her to become the sassy and independent Disney character we know and love. Some profound and even inspiring moments come when discussions about life and love come to light here. And it’s also fun when you’re reading the dialogue, let’s say from Phil as an example, you instantly hear Danny DeVito talking to you in your head. The writing style is beautifully written and captures the spirit of the movie. Anyone who likes the film and characters will definitely not be disappointed with this one.
Recommended to fans of the film and its characters, Disney, young adult fiction, retellings, fantasy, and mythology.
