Less than 5-word critique: Funny, heartfelt, and compelling.

I’m so glad I finally read In A Holidaze during the festive season. Plus, it’s my first read by Christina Lauren.

In this Christmas romantic comedy, we follow Maelyn Jones, a woman in her twenties who suddenly finds herself in a Groundhog Day-esque time loop after she and her family leave their old friend’s beloved cabin that’s been around for as long as they can remember. Maelyn tries to use the time loop to her advantage while also wanting to get closer to the oldest brother of the other family.

The duo’s writing is superbly balanced with humour, drama, and magic.
Good characterization and development.
Entertaining story.
