From horror icon John Carpenter, the director of “Halloween” (1978), comes this scary outing…

Palmer: “You gotta be fuckin’ kidding.”

“The Thing” was released on this day June 25th 1982, making the film 35 years old as of today.

The film centers on a group of Antarctic researchers led by Kurt Russell as they encounter an extraterrestrial that has the ability to morph into anyone and anything which leads to paranoia within the group.

Fun fact: Oscar winner Ennio Morricone composed the music and personally he did a good job creating a scary atmosphere.

On an extra note, it seems that films such as this one, E.T: The Extra Terrestrial and Blade Runner dominated the box-office during 1982.

Recommended for fans of the horror genre as well as Kurt Russell and Ennio Morricone fans.
